The Church of the Heavenly Rest
The Church of the Heavenly Rest is in Manhattan, at 1085 Fifth Avenue, just north of the Guggenheim Museum. It was completed in 1929. It was created by Mayers, Murray and Phillips, architects; the successor firm to Bertram Grosvenor Goodhue and associates. Lawrie was the sculptor of the Angels flanking the front door. He likely did more sculpture there, but per Wikipedia, Malvina Hoffman also contributed to the sculpture. There was additional sculpture planned, but the stock market crash of 1929 ended the program.
