The copper work along the roofline is called the Cheneau. Its sculptural programme combines snakes, lynxes, owls and acanthus, turning a practical roof detail into a continuous decorative band.
Seen from below, the animals emerge among curling foliage and patterned copperwork, their forms sharpened by the weathered green patina.
